Las Vegas, Nevada
As the center of
entertainment in the country, there are six airports serving Las Vegas. Its
accessibility to any part of the world makes the city very popular to tourists.
But on the downside, the influx of visitors makes the traffic terrible
especially during rush hours. You should also know that Las Vegas summer is
brutally hot with temperature hitting 107 degrees. It also lacks a strong
community tie since most of the people here are transient which means they are
not interested in sticking around the city for a long time. But if you love
nightlife and non-stop entertainment, Las Vegas is the place to be. Most of the
places are open 24/7 which means there are no obstacles to stop you from
enjoying your vacation.
Madame Tussauds
The Madame
Tussauds Las Vegas is another addition to the growing number of this type of
wax museums in the world. It is located in The Venetia Las Vegas casino resort.
The museum opened in 1999 and features more than 100 wax figures of famous
celebrities and personalities around the world. You can buy your tickets online
but there is a special discount if you buy in groups of 10 or more. In order to
better enjoy your visit, you must bring your cameras with you to capture your
close encounter with your favorite celebrities. The self-guided tour can last
for about 60 to 90 minutes.
Homeless Man Killed in Southeast Las Vegas
A homeless man
approximately in his 50’s to 60’s was stabbed to death last Wednesday at around
6 pm. While the victim is not yet identified, police authorities have arrested
the suspect, Armando Padron, 37 years old. He remains to be under the custody
of the authorities after charges including murder motivated by hatred and
battery have been filed against him. While there is very limited information on
this report, police officers are hopeful that witnesses will come out to shed
more light on the issue and identify the victim. Homeless people suffer a lot
of discrimination and abuses and we hope that justice will be served in the
soonest possible time.
